RTFA — BMW builds them in Shenyang, China for Chinese customers. Because of tarriffs on imported cars BMW does final assembly from foreign parts in China rather than importing from Germany. Because they don’t build the 7 in China they created the LWB 5 for towncar duty. Liklihood BMW will ever release a LWB 5 in the States or Europe — slim to none, it would scavenge the 7.

The more I look at this car, the more I think the previous 5-series looked better. I can’t help but think ”Pontiac” when looking at this Bangled mess.
t is a complete clone of this car, with a little Mercedes look in the wheels. I’m just not amazed over the lack of ingenuity on one of the Lexus rx300 parts, and wonder why luxury car buyers even consider such a cloned, non-distinctive look. Okay the quality thing is outstanding, but, the 7 series isn’t exactly a Kia. Why would you ever want a mushy riding Lexus that imitates the look of a BMW? Oh, wait, for 8 years people have bought the Lexus that looked just like the last gen Mercedes. But, Lexus is copying BMW now, because Mercedes went so far overboard with their wedge design it scared the conservative, copycat Lexus. Good for Mercedes, and pity poor BMW with the Jap design stealers now taking their look instead.

it will be a much more improved version of the limousine for sure... some bmw parts previewed in the pics looks really grand, just hoping that the design is great once the car is shown...
