I think is a great idea and it looks incredible. Looks like the futuristic movie (we are living the future today somehow). I’m not sure how it works, but if its just magnets (2 of them: one in the floor and second in the bed) Then why is it so expensive. Anyone can ask for 2 magnets the size of a bed and put some cables to hold it to the floor and will be much cheaper than the prize of the bed.

I still think the idea is great.

One more thing... if the bed is a magnet, what will happen with electronic devices and credit cards? A magnet that big can brake things down? good question isnt it?

im more concerned with what would happen if the bed flips over, i remember playing with magnets as a child and having one magnet hover over the other - UNTIL it unstablizes flips over and snaps to the other magnet, i know i wouldnt want to be stuck between the floor and a magnet the size of that bed

Yes, it certainly is amazing . It would ( if built ) hover 40cm above the floor and carry 900kg load.

Could it be that all that actually exists are some computer renderings ( i.e. ‘artists impressions’ of ‘what it might look like if it ever could be built’ – like the one above ) and a fifth-scale model ( presumably hovers 8cm – i.e. feasible ).

Like a bed that floats thats some crazy ass shit technology. Well, I would love a bed like that untill it flips and there has to have some tweeks in it because a bed that floats is too wild.

it’s a crazy ideal. as knowed,we have magnetic train now, and it just can be raised 10-20 cm, how strong the elcectricity current it need to creat the megnet for raising the train. what about the bed? 40cm,900kg? if don’t use the electricity, it hard to carry out. but do you think of the danger of the hight woltage and the affect of the huge magnet to our body?

To answer the concerns of the other posters. So it wouldn’t flip, or ’drift off’. The ’staalkabeltjes’ would anchor it in place.

Think of it like a floating balloon. You’d want to anchor it.

I’m curious how weight and movement would affect it (thinking of a floating balloon...)

Then, if you shifted at all on this bed, how would it react to that... Would the field react to differing weights to stabalize the level?

It looks fantastic. I’m just not sure how it would react to my 6’4”, 240# body on it next to my significant other (5’, 100#).

The power/magnet concerns are certainly valid as well. But perhaps less of a worry for someone who can drop 1M Euros on a bed.
