Why This Unfair Treatment?

Now, it’s like striking below the belt! All these days, we have taken criticism from the Blogging Community - whether in good taste or otherwise - in stride. We rather accepted them as valuable pieces of advice that an infant organisation must learn instead of reacting to them blindly. But now it’s too much? Brushing aside all gentlemanly blogsphere norms, a blogger, Elliott Back, has put our blogs in the spam category of his site! - SPAM CATEGORY.

We didn’t find it too wrong when a blogger, described our script as “old- fashioned”, we didn’t say anything to people calling us “cheap content providers“, and we maintained our cool even when people found fault with the design of our blogs. Again, you will appreciate that we went to the extent of offering public apology on knowing that there were some plagiaristic stuff in one of our blogs. But how do we react to the conduct of Elliott?

On Sunday, when we went through the Post title Instablogs Sucks again, looking for “gems of Elliott’s advice“, we discovered that out postings were filed under SPAM!. Now, how the hell are we spammers? We may be short on content, both quantity- and quality-wise. But, that doesn’t make one a spammer. If we were spammers, we would have put tonnes and tonnes of data on all our pages. After all, creating a quality Editorial setup does take some time. We may be generating anything, but SPAM!

Hmmm weird... I wonder why Elliott did that. Maybe just ask him before going berzerk? It might be a mistake.

If it isnt: Ruzz is right. If I were you Id focus on content, content and more content. Preferrably quality content. Who cares what the blogosphere thinks of you? All this bitching and bickering related to your launch will be forgotten in a couple of weeks when something new comes up that people in the blogosphere can rant about.

If you start taking everything thats being said in the blogosphere personally you might as well give it up because it will make your life hell. Theres nothing personal, its just people writing rants on their blogs.

If you still want to do something useful with all this criticism just use it to fuel your desire to do better, write better content and improve InstaBlogs in order to make sure its YOU whos laughing in the end.

Good luck! :)

Also: You should not strip your single quotes but escape them properly. English looks quite funny without single quotes working in comments :P

Hi Nandini,
I think you shouldn`t worry about guys like Elliot and their existence. They are just there to pull anyone down and label them with anything...

The vision you started with was real huge, the cartoons were exceptionaly good, and were done for the first time in any blog network...

But you went wrong with the launch. If you could have given yourself few more days, 2 more weeks befor making it live. It would have been a different story. Just concentrate on your work, and give us more cartoons. I love them...

Nandini, I think you should not care about it much.
Let them say whatever they want, you know the content is original, people reading know the content is original then why to worry if some xyz site is putting ur site in spam list? how does it matter...

I think these things should not bother much and you should not give more importance to it...

btw if you would have made blog css based then it would have been much better...

Regards
Deep
